1. Telescopic Subsidized Slabs (Consumption ≤ 250 Units / Month)
Tiered PricingIf your monthly consumption is 250 units or lower (or 500 units bi-monthly), each slab is charged progressively. You pay lower rates for basic lifeline units:

3. Fixed Charges, Duty & Additional Line Items
Single-Phase Fixed Charge
Standard single-phase domestic connections pay ₹40/month (₹80 bi-monthly) for sanctioned connected loads up to 5kW.
Three-Phase Fixed Charge
Charged at ₹110 per kW per month (₹220 per kW bi-monthly). For instance, a 5kW 3-phase connection incurs ₹1,100 bi-monthly in fixed charges.
10% Electricity Duty (Government of Kerala)
Under Section 3 of the Kerala Electricity Duty Act, 1963, 10% is added strictly to the gross energy charges.
Meter Rent
For standard single-phase static meters: ₹6/month (₹12 bi-monthly). Three-phase meters incur ₹15/month (₹30 bi-monthly).
